During the recent winter of 2021’ i spent several days based in Twizel New Zealand to chase the elusive Hoar Frost, I was extremely fortunate to get three consecutive days of this amazing winter wonderland scene and the frost was simply stunning. I drove past this grove of trees everyday and it wasn’t until the final day only moments before the sun shone and the wind blew all the frost away in a matter of minutes that i made the call to stop the car and photograph this tree. Five minutes later all the frost was gone and this was simply a regular pine tree. A unique fleeting moment has been captured forever and i love it.
